The CEY Commission was formed in 2002 by Synod to help manage and direct the work of the CEY Ministries team within the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, as well as managing the use of the Yondaio Trust.

It is a group made up of representatives from around the diocese that meet approximately 6 times a year to help giude the CEY Ministries team in their daily work, and to formulate policy related to ministry with children and young people. The group naturally takes on the form of a forum that is both a brilliant  sounding board for ideas and strategies, and a useful collection of ideas and experience with relevant information on what is happening around the diocese.
