Anglican Women was formed in the Diocese of Newcastle in 1960 as an "Umbrella"  that incorporates all Anglican women. It recognises that the backbone of ministry in the Church is carried out mainly by women, from washing the linen, polishing the brass, arranging flowers, providing hospitality, functioning as lay liturgical assistants, preaching, teaching, presiding at the Eucharist and more.  Anglican Women aim to work towards the extension of Christ's Kingdom through: Worship, Study, Fellowship and Giving.

The Anglican Men’s Society reflects the glory of God by providing witness, fellowship and service for the men of the Church.
Witness- by following our rule of life to show our faith in the Church, in the home, with the family and at leisure.
Fellowship- in public worship, exchange of experiences, by mutual encouragement and to deepen the sense of the Presence of God.
Service- by study and training, to strengthen the resolve of men to accept their vocation as servants of God.

Cursillo is a worldwide movement of the Christian Church which seeks to make it possible to live out what is fundamental to being a Christian. 'Cursillo' is a Spanish word meaning 'short course'. In this case it is a short course in Christian living. As a movement, it had its origin on the islan of Majorca in Spain, in the late 1940s, as a means for reviving Christian commitment in the Roman Catholic Church. Its methods have been adapted by a number of denominations throughout the world.

As well as encouraging local groups in parishes around the world the Mothers’ Union worldwide focuses on the big issues of poverty, world debt, basic human rights, environmental concerns, justice and peace.
