Parish of Camden HavenParish Priest / Ministry Team LeaderParish of The Camden Haven The Parish of The Camden Haven is seeking to appoint a Priest and team leader. The parish is in a rapidly growing area on the mid north coast, and has two centres. It has recently constructed a new church building at Laurieton, together with associated community facilities, and two clergy residences. The parish community is keen to continue to further the ministry and mission of the church in its local community. The parish has a more recent tradition of Evangelical Anglican worship, and is strongly supportive of local and overseas mission activities. The previous Rector has, with the support of the parish council, indicated his willingness to continue in a support ministry position in the parish team until the end of 2010 if such arrangement is suitable to the incoming priest. Applicants should: • Be committed to the gospel and its proclamation • Have a broad understanding and experience of Anglican worship and life • Be able to develop, encourage and lead a ministry team of ordained and lay people • Be experienced in training and educating the people of God in mission and outreach, • Be willing to explore the establishment of fresh expressions of church within the parish • Be open to new directions in the future, whilst supporting and encouraging those who find their focus in traditional Anglican expressions of worship and liturgy.
