Schools
The Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation aims to establish, promote, ensure effective governance, and support Anglican schools within and outside the Diocese and to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to students, staff, parents and the community.
The Diocese aims to grow and develop the schools and believes in providing affordable, quality education with a Christian ethos in the Anglican tradition. Therefore all Diocesan schools are low-fee centres of excellence with a strong focus on pastoral care, Christian values and studies, academic and sporting achievement, and multi-faceted extra-curricular activities.
The four Diocesan Schools – Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College at Fletcher, Lakes Grammar – An Anglican School at Warnervale (Central Coast), Manning Valley Anglican College and Scone Grammar School – are all members of the Corporation and support each other in their ministry and mission. Each school is set in pristine, attractive surroundings with excellent facilities for the benefit of all students and staff. School Councils and Parents and Friends groups work hard to maintain effective, efficient governance and to plan for the future of each campus.
The Diocesan Bishop has appointed a Chaplain in each school to be a key resource in the proclamation of the faith, in leading liturgy, in pastoral care and in supporting the teaching of the Christian Religious Studies Syllabus throughout the schools.
Throughout the year, the Corporation hosts events that support its vision for the schools:
Induction Day for New Staff in Diocesan Schools, Combined Schools Boards Conference, Retreat for Executive Staff in Schools, Celebration Day in the Christ Church Cathedral for years 9 and 10 students, and professional development courses for schools’ staffs.
The Corporation staff includes the Executive Officer, Mrs Margaret Gibbs, and Mrs Lorin Livingstone, Business Manager and team manager of the School Management Division, both of whom can be contacted at the Diocesan Office on 02 49263733.
For employment opportunities please contact the individual schools.
NASC staff can be contacted at the Diocesan Office on 4926 3733.

Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College
A caring, Christian, learning community within the Anglican tradition, which offers quality education and pastoral care through an accessible fee structure.
The foundation of this College was an initiative of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle which purchased a 6ha site in 1998 amongst the growing suburbs to the west of Newcastle. The site has an historic mansion "Styles Grove" which was the home of James Fletcher, the first Member of Parliament for Newcastle, for ten years. Following that it was home to the Thomas family for over seventy years and remained a private home until mid 1998. “Styles Grove” is now the administration centre for the College built in its precincts.

Scone Grammar School
Scone Grammar is a coeducational, independent K- 12 Anglican School with clear Christian values. Whilst we are justifiably proud of our status as the premier school in the Tamworth region for 2005 based on the HSC results, we believe that this achievement provides only a small insight to the quality of the educational experience that our students receive. Our diverse and stimulating programs of academic, sporting and cultural activities communicate what we believe to be important.
